Touted for national recognition as a “Best Place to Live” by Money Magazine in 2006, San Ramon first became a City in 1984. Located between the Town of Danville and the City of Dublin, this community offers its own highly-regarded San Ramon Regional Medical Center as well as hosts the home of the California Symphony.
Situated in the middle of the San Ramon Valley, San Ramon is larger than most cities in Contra Costa County with just over 72,000 residents. Many large employers such as ATT and Chevron have located here. There are several great country club facilities–the Bridges Golf Club, Canyon Lakes Country Club, and the Crow Canyon Country Club for those wishing to indulge in the challenging sport.
There are luxury homes on both the east and west rims of the San Ramon Valley that boast views of Las Trampas Regional Forest, and the prominent Mt. Diablo. In the works are plans for a new 40 acre downtown that will include a hotel, plaza, cinema, library, city hall, office and residential space.
